Light subjects are rendered in bright colours for a pleasant, uplifting visit, but that is not to say it's trivial fluff on show. Flagstaff has highly-regarded and highly skilled artists in its stable; this show is a good chance to get an overall feel for the gallery's tone.

Robyne Voyce's swans swim in a series of retro-mood prints. She places the simplified image of a swan over lacy-patterned backgrounds. The bird is reminiscent of the Crown Lynn ceramic swans that used to grace suburban mantelpieces in the 50's. It's a friendly shape, made more feminine and exotic for the pool of fabric behind it and modern with the use of strong colour.
